A Long Night
(by Issic)
Issic had definitely not expected to have Caelynn use her magical skills against him, even if it be for his own good. His fire fueled as he stood there unable to move. He absolutely hated not being able to move. It wasn't until she started to speak that his fire ceased. She was right he had been baiting Silas and perhaps he was a bit jealous of what he had in regards to Caelynn. They were so close and without wishing to at first, Issic had started to show his feelings towards her. He sighed under his breath as he was forced to listen to her.
His fingers began to tingle, he tried to move his finger as that was normally a sign that the spell was wearing off. His finger moved slightly. Within seconds he could raise his arm and even shift and turn his neck. A few seconds longer and he was able to fully move, but his movement still slowed. His hands reached up and grasp both handles of his blades which stuck into the door jams on each side. He glanced behind him and saw Caelynn had turned her back to them both as she sat at a table. He knew that nobody else would ever have turned their backs to skilled infiltrators. You never ever did that, you always wanted to keep them in eye sight if you could else you were just easy pickings. But she knew, she knew she was safe with them both no matter what was happening. Sooner or later Issic knew that he would have to work with and more then likely depend on Silas. He never needed to depend on anyone, he had gotten used to being self sufficient, being alone.
He pulled the blades out and sighed deeply. With a swift twirl through his fingers the blades were back in their sheaths behind his back. He looked at Silas who had also been frozen in one place, his finger just now starting to move. He walked behind the bar and grabbed three mugs and poured ale into each of them.
"Well, since none of us are getting any sleep this night or day whatever you want to call it, we'll need some drinks." He said as he placed them on the table that Caelynn was sitting at. He looked into Caelynn's eyes and mouthed 'I'm sorry' towards her. Silas had now thawed out and began to slow movement towards the table as well. As he sat down Issic looked at Caelynn and spoke softly. "Think you can use those skills for something other then freezing Silas and myself?" His finger pointed towards the mugs of ale with a slight smirk.
