A New Twist

O'honat's eyes narrowed as she heard the sounds of combat ahead. She'd deliberately come this route because nobody ever came past the ruined manor anymore. Even the looters had given up trying to find anything. Remaining hidden, she crept closer to investigate.

Spying a man locked in combat with Nalsor, she prepared to rush in to offer aid - then she saw the bodies of the other drakorans. This one was obviously of the Shadows - and very well trained at that. But what business could the guild have out here? Seeing the man strike the killing blow to Nalsor, the Inconnu refrained from making herself known, instead following him.

That Nalsor had wounded him was obvious - nobody could go through a fight with that beast and not have a scar or two to show for it. But O'honat hadn't realized how badly the man was wounded until they approached Fort Gwyntell and she saw his steps start to falter. She quickly rushed to his side when he fell, calling to the guards to come help her get him to the fort.

Laying in his room over the stables, Issic groaned and opened his eyes.

"That was an impressive fight."

The voice was soft but had a cold quality about it. Looking around, he saw a petite figure emerge from the shadows. He recognized the Inconnu scout from previous trips to Diogel. BUt what was she doing here? Or was he there?

Sensing his confusion, O'honat chuckled. "I was on my way to deliver a message from Diogel to Gwyntell when I saw the end of your fight. I followed you back here to make sure you were alright. Healer says you'll live though the shoulder will be weak for a while. May want to consider a lighter blade for that hand for a while." She motioned to a pile of stuff on a nearby chair. "All your belongings are there. I didn't touch the blades - figured you'd not appreciate that - so they still need cleaning before the drak blood corrodes them."

She paused at the door. "I'll be here a few more days before returning to Diogel. I'd like to talk with you sometime if you'll be here." Without another word she was gone.
